This is a special release for me, Frode is from Stavanger the home city of my great grandfather, what he did with his Detail group with John Stevens & Johnny Dyani was formative music for me.
Bobby Bradford was often added & Kent Carter later replaced Dyani. Of course Alvin Fielder drives the music here with his inventive playing that can only come from 60 years in the music!!
